Football Recap: Geneva Classical Academy Piles Up the Points Against Oasis Christian

Geneva Classical Academy won the last time they faced Oasis Christian and things went their way on Friday too. The Knights blew past the Lions 64-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Geneva Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bennett Bayhan, who picked up 123 receiving yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 32 yards and one score. Another passer making a difference was Clay Lindsay, who threw for 186 yards and five touchdowns while completing 89.5% of his passes.

Another reason for the win was Geneva Classical Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Braylon Paul was especially locked on to Oasis Christian's QB and sacked him three times. Micah Elamm was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making five total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.

Geneva Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Oasis Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coming up, Geneva Classical Academy will take on First Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oasis Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Riverview Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
