Baseball Game Preview: Travelers Rest Devildogs vs. Berea Bulldogs

The Travelers Rest Devildogs will square off against the Berea Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, Travelers Rest didn't have quite enough to beat Greenville and fell 5-4. The Devildogs haven't had much luck with the Red Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Berea's offense. They lost 16-0 to Oakbrook Prep on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Travelers Rest's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Berea, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Travelers Rest beat Berea 10-5 when the teams last played back in April of 2017. Will the Devildogs repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
