The Nutley Maroon Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Barringer Blue Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Barringer took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Nutley, who comes in off a win.
Nutley's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against West Orange by a score of 3-0.

Drew Slomkowski tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over 6.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Nutley is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-10 otherwise.
At the plate, Nichoals Palumbo was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last five games.
Meanwhile, Barringer came up short against Caldwell on Monday and fell 9-6. The Blue Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jose Rosa put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, LedieL Espinosa and Yadier Tapia did some serious damage despite the final result: Espinosa went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Tapia went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Nutley's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-11. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Barringer, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.
Nutley beat Barringer 6-3 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Maroon Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
