Softball Recap: Blue Mountain Find Success

Blue Mountain got themselves on the board against Bellows Free Academy on Monday, but Bellows Free Academy never followed suit. They came out on top against the Bullets by a score of 5-0. The victory continues a trend for the Bucks in their matchups with the Bullets: they've now won four in a row.

Kaylee Hamlett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Hamlett was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lillian Roy, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Tori Florentine was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

The win got Blue Mountain back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blue Mountain will take on Randolph at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bellows Free Academy, they will head out to take on Richford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
