Basketball Game Preview: Nordhoff Rangers vs. Costa Mesa Mustangs

The Nordhoff Rangers will challenge the Costa Mesa Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nordhoff will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Nordhoff is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 61-60 victory over Westminster.

Nordhoff's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Crystal Ramirez, who went 9-for-15 en route to 22 points and four steals. Ramirez continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cadence Renshaw, who went 7-for-13 on her way to 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals.

Meanwhile, Costa Mesa made easy work of Capistrano Valley Christian on Saturday and carried off a 42-21 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

The victory got Costa Mesa back to even at 14-14. As for Nordhoff, their record is now 17-7.
