Powell has gone a perfect 10-0 against Campbell County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Powell Panthers challenge Campbell County Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Powell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Powell made easy work of Tug Valley and carried off an 11-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Powell.

Nevaeh Wells and Madison Crawley did most of the damage at the plate: Wells scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Crawley went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Wells also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Rianna Boone, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Campbell County's offense. They lost 15-0 to Karns on Tuesday. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Campbell County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Powell, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Campbell County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Powell hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .330. It's a different story for Campbell County, though, as they've only averaged .217. Will they be able to contain Powell's hitters?

Everything went Powell's way against Campbell County in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Powell made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Powell since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
