Softball Game Preview: Karns City Gremlins vs. Armstrong River Hawks

The Karns City Gremlins will square off against the Armstrong River Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Karns City fell victim to St. Marys and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 12-0 to the Flying Dutch. The Gremlins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Karns City got a good showing from Abigail Dunlap, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Dunlap has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

Meanwhile, Armstrong got the win against West Shamokin on Friday by a conclusive 15-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the River Hawks.

Armstrong now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Karns City, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Karns City came out on top in a nail-biter against Armstrong in their previous matchup back in April of 2022, sneaking past 3-1. Does Karns City have another victory up their sleeve, or will Armstrong turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
