The Old Forge Blue Devils will face off against the Lakeland Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Old Forge's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Lakeland has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Old Forge is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over Honesdale on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won six in a row.

Joselyn DeStefano was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ava Arnold, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Old Forge hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Lakeland and Riverside had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Chiefs came up short against the Vikings on Monday, falling 13-5. Chiefs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Vikings since on Monday.
Mick Eremo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Cunningham, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Old Forge, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Old Forge hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Lakeland struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Old Forge couldn't quite finish off Lakeland in their previous matchup back in April and fell 9-7. Will the Blue Devils have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
