Recap: Oxford Prep Griffins vs. Franklin Academy Patriots
The Oxford Prep Griffins lost against the Franklin Academy Patriots back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Oxford Prep took a 40-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Franklin Academy. Oxford Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sarah Godwin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Franklin Academy, scoring 20 points along with 9 steals and 7 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Godwin has scored at least 25% of Franklin Academy's points. Claire Stengl was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds.
Oxford Prep now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Franklin Academy, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
