Football Recap: Billingsley Comes Up Short

The Billingsley Bears came up short against the Helena Huskies on Saturday and fell 18-6. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kinsley Cotton threw for 52 yards on six of 13 attempts. Alana Jones was her top target, picking up 31 receiving yards.

Billingsley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Billingsley has already played their next game (against Percy Julian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Helena, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mountain Brook at 5:00 p.m. on September 9. The contest will give the Huskies their first taste of in-conference action this season.
