Volleyball Recap: St. Charles East Takes a Loss

St. Charles East was the 2-0 winner over Metea Valley when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Fighting Saints fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Fighting Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Among those leading the charge was Rushil Gandhi, who had 17 assists and seven digs. Those 17 assists gave him a new career-high.

St. Charles East's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Metea Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, St. Charles East and Metea Valley will both be playing Sandburg the next time they take the court. The Fighting Saints will head out to face the Eagles at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 7:15 p.m.
