Basketball Recap: Jacob Blevins' Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Callaway over Clopton

It was a Battle of the Birds when North Callaway challenged Clopton on Friday. The North Callaway Thunderbirds came up short against the Clopton Hawks, falling 72-47. The Thunderbirds haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

North Callaway lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jacob Blevins, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalton Brewer, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points.

Even though they lost, North Callaway smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive matchups.
