Basketball Game Preview: North Murray Mountaineers vs. Union County Panthers

The North Murray Mountaineers are taking a road trip to face off against the Union County Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 54-13, which was the final score in North Murray's tilt against Coahulla Creek on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Mountaineers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Colts are ranked 158th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Union County took on Ringgold on Friday. Union County received a blow as they fell 58-41 to Ringgold. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Union County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for North Murray, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

North Murray took a serious blow against Union County in their previous matchup back in January, falling 57-25. Can North Murray avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
