Wando gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They came out on top against the Hanahan Hawks by a score of 10-5. The Warriors have beaten the Hawks the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Hawks has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Ethan Palyok, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Evan Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Coming up, Wando will be taking part in a tournament against Fountain Inn at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hanahan, they will take on Lugoff-Elgin in a tournament on Friday.
