After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marsh Valley, Wood River was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Century Diamondbacks. With that win, Wood River brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Carter Thompson looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Dawson Speth was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and a double. Another player making a difference was Raul Rojas, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
