Basketball Recap: Elk Point-Jefferson Comes Up Short

After flying high against Parker on Thursday, Elk Point-Jefferson came back down to earth. The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies fell to the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers 63-57. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now lost five in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Elk Point-Jefferson fell to 3-1. As for Sioux Falls Christian, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elk Point-Jefferson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Viborg/Hurley at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Sioux Falls Christian and Hanson will round out the year against one another at at 2:15 p.m. on December 30th.
