Volleyball Recap: Bowler Comes Up Short

Bowler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Northland Lutheran Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Northland Lutheran scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 23-25, 25-20, 25-21.

Libby Carrington paced Bowler's offense, picking up six kills. Carrington got some help from Madison Piotrowski and her eight assists. Carrington was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Bowler's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Northland Lutheran, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Looking ahead, Bowler is taking a road trip to take on Wild Rose at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northland Lutheran, they will host Tigerton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
