            Softball Recap: Glendale Vikings vs. Juniata Valley Hornets        
        
		
        
        
            Glendale proved they can win big  on Tuesday (they won by 11) and  on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Juniata Valley Hornets  2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

 Madison Peterson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Glendale's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Jayden Fry, who  went 1-for-4 with one  run and one  double.
Glendale picked up their first home  win, bumping their record up to 5-8. As for Juniata Valley, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7-1 record  this season.
 Glendale didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  match,  a  16-0  victory against Williamsburg on the 1st. As for Juniata Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  game,  an  11-2  win against Moshannon Valley on the 1st.
