Softball Recap: Reading Comes Up Short

Reading lost against Berks Catholic back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Reading came up short against Berks Catholic, falling 17-1. The match marked the Red KNights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Reading saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angelia Torres, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That hit marked the first that Torres got this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Reading and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Berks Catholic, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reading will venture away from home to square off against Twin Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The contest will give Reading their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Berks Catholic, they will head out on the road to take on Fleetwood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
