Recap: Faith Academy Rams vs. LeFlore Rattlers
The Faith Academy Rams won against the LeFlore Rattlers last Friday with 21 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Faith Academy enjoyed a cozy 21-6 victory over LeFlore. Given Faith Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 44th, while LeFlore is ranked 193rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Faith Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tynean Goodwill, who gained 61 total yards and two touchdowns. Tyrell Dotson also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Another reason for the win was Faith Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for ten sacks. It was a group effort, with three picking up two apiece.
The win was the fourth in a row for Faith Academy, bringing their record for this year to 8-3. As for LeFlore, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Faith Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Elmore County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Elmore County is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. LeFlore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
