Softball Recap: Lyons Lions vs. Valley Vikings

Lyons got themselves on the board against Valley on Thursday, but Valley never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Valley Vikings as they made off with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Lions have won 11 contests by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Gretta Wynja was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with a triple, a double, and an RBI.

In other batting news, Dahlia Oviatt was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and two RBI.
