Floyd Central is a perfect 7-0 against Madison since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Highlanders are taking a road trip to challenge the Cubs at 6:00 p.m. Floyd Central will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Floyd Central needed a bit of extra time to put away Oldham County. They skirted past the Colonels 3-2.

Addy Ware was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Natalie Curtis was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Madison, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Trinity Lutheran 3-2.

Floyd Central's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Madison, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Floyd Central took their victory against Madison in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 13-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Highlanders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
