Recap: UIC College Prep Firecats vs. Pritzker Jaguars
There's no place like home for the UIC College Prep Firecats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They strolled past Pritzker with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 59-42. That's another feather in the cap for UIC College Prep, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading UIC College Prep to victory were Adam Matthews and James Hodrick. Matthews scored 12 points along with three steals, while Hodrick scored 20 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Hodrick's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Coleman , who scored five points along with five rebounds and four steals.
UIC College Prep's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Pritzker, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
UIC College Prep will head out on the road to face off against Chicago Mathematics & Science at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pritzker will be home for the holidays to greet South Shore International at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (South Shore International is ranked 661st, while Pritzker is ranked 676th).
