Softball Recap: Boulder City Comes Up Short

Boulder City and Moapa Valley squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Boulder City had to settle for second. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 7-3.

Lauren Mueller made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Khloei Chisholm, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Boulder City has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season. As for Moapa Valley, their record now sits at 13-11.

As of now, neither Boulder City nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
