Soccer Recap: Madison County's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Madison County lost against Strasburg back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mountaineers fell just short of the Rams by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Madison County have lost by just one goal.

Madison County's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-7-1. As for Strasburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison County will square off against Rappahannock County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Madison County will be up against Rappahannock County's rather soft defense (which has allowed five goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Strasburg, they will take on Central Woodstock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central Woodstock will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Strasburg surely won't give up without a fight.
