Volleyball Recap: Eastside Tigers vs. Sterling Silver Knights
Eastside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sterling Silver Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Silver Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Wednesday.
Eastside was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring ten points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-10.
Leading Sterling to victory were Noah Mcbride and Fernando Sanchez. Mcbride had eight digs and two assists, while Sanchez had two aces. That's the most aces Sanchez has posted over his last six matches.
Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Sterling, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-10.
Eastside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Seneca on the 22nd. Sterling has also already played their next game (against Paul VI), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
