Soccer Recap: East River's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only East River walked away with it. They had just enough and edged the Bayside Bears out 1-0. The Falcons' winning goal came courtesy of Ethan Meyer.

The victory snapped East River's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-11-1 record. As for Bayside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8-1 record this season.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the East River challenge the Viera at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. East River's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. Bayside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
