Basketball Recap: Forest Hill Comes Up Short

Forest Hill lost against Callaway back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Forest Hill Patriots took a hard 71-53 fall against the Callaway Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Chargers are ranked 12th).

Jahanna Wilson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Callaway, dropping a double-double on 30 points and ten boards. Wilson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 21 games she's played. Jernae Ringgold was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Forest Hill has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Callaway, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-3.

Forest Hill has already played their next contest (against Jim Hill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Callaway has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Vicksburg.
