Baseball Recap: Dudley Falls to Atkins in First Game of Season

Dudley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Atkins Camels by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Camels apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Dudley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Antonio Lee Jr., who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Jayven Baize, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Looking ahead, Dudley will take on Page at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Atkins, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Mount Tabor at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
