Shady Spring scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 55-42 to the Summit Christian Academy Falcons. The loss leaves the Tigers without a win on the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Summit Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ella Botts, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine steals. Botts is crushing it when it comes to points: she's scored at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Bailee Martin, who went 7 of 15 en route to 20 points and three steals.

Shady Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Summit Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Shady Spring won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Nicholas County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Summit Christian Academy, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Pocahontas County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
