Baseball Recap: Trinity Classical Academy Wins Going Away Against Canyon

Trinity Classical Academy was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Canyon on Thursday. The Trinity Classical Academy Knights blew past the Canyon Cowboys 8-0. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by eight runs or more this season.

Canyon's batters probably weren't too happy with Andrew Carlson, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (he gave up zero walks). Carlson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luke Backes, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Quinn Minyard, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Backes wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Trinity Classical Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canyon didn't got any hits.

Trinity Classical Academy's record now sits at 3-1. As for Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Trinity Classical Academy has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Western Christian on the 4th. As for Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Lancaster on the 4th.
