Football Recap: Bonita Starts Season with Win Against Chaffey

Bonita had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 32-0 win over the Chaffey Tigers. The Bearcats pushed the score to 26-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers had little chance of recovering from.

The critical scores for Bonita came from Grace Tolan, Kendra Anderson, Ava Flores, Leah Reynolds, and Hayden Andrew.

Bonita didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off seven passes before the game was over. Reynolds led the group effort, picking up four of those interceptions all by herself. Tolan got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Bonita wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-6 defeat against Bishop Amat on the 13th. As for Chaffey, they have also already played their next match, a 21-6 loss against Patriot on the 13th.
