St. Laurence is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Washburn Rural. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Vikings who were credited with the win. The St. Laurence Vikings got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Washburn Rural Junior Blues' two. The result kept St. Laurence happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

Wins have been accumulating steadily for St. Laurence, who have claimed victory in 14 of their first 15 matchups to sit at 14-0-1. The victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 44 goals over those 15 games. As for Washburn Rural, they are now 4-4-1, having gone 2-4-1 since their 11-game winning streak ended.
