Recap: Windham Whippets vs. Lyman Memorial Bulldogs
The Windham Whippets waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They put the hurt on Lyman Memorial with a sharp 79-55 victory. That looming 79-55 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Windham yet this season.
Malcolm Hunter was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Anthony Green, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.
Windham has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Lyman Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windham will face off against Manchester at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Manchester has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 267 points over their last four games. As for Lyman Memorial, they will head out on the road to take on Bacon Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bacon Academy is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
