Volleyball Recap: Columbus School for Girls Unicorns vs. Buckeye Valley Barons

Columbus School for Girls kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the Buckeye Valley Barons. The Unicorns were not able to make up for their loss to the Barons from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13, 25-21.

Kate Hostetler paced Columbus School for Girls' offense, picking up six kills. Hostetler got some help from Kiersten Cahill and her eight assists.

Buckeye Valley was led to victory by Delaney Lozier and Payton Loedding. Lozier had 17 digs, while Loedding had eight assists and two aces. Those 17 digs gave Lozier a new career-high.

Columbus School for Girls wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Columbus Academy on the 20th. As for Buckeye Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Worthington Christian on the 21st.
