Basketball Game Preview: Tri-Valley Mustangs vs. Sioux Falls Christian Chargers

The Tri-Valley Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Tri-Valley beat Rapid City Christian 66-62. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, Sioux Falls Christian faced Roncalli in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Sioux Falls Christian was the clear victor by a 64-41 margin over Roncalli. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season.

The win got Tri-Valley back to even at 8-8. As for Sioux Falls Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 17-1.

Tri-Valley came up short against Sioux Falls Christian in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 48-43. Can Tri-Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
