After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Union brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They breezed by the South Brunswick Vikings on the road to the tune of 35-7 on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Farmers as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Union's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Omalley King led the charge by rushing for 86 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 38 yards and a touchdown. Bryan Accinot was another key rusher, rushing for 58 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.

He was just one part of a punishing run game: Union was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 283 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2023.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Union's defense and their four sacks. Kervin Desir was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself. Union got some further help from Dakari Dugger: he picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Union's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for South Brunswick, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Union will take on Phillipsburg on Friday. As for South Brunswick, they will challenge Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
