Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Hailey Tong and Audrenna Gemmeke-Hall Lead Palmer to Victory

Palmer entered their tilt with Mesa Ridge on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Grizzlies. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-1 win on October 2nd.

Palmer got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17, 21-25, 31-29.

Leading Palmer to victory were Audrenna Gemmeke-Hall and Hailey Tong. Gemmeke-Hall had 13 digs and two aces, while Tong had 30 digs. With that strong performance, Tong is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game. Savannah Herrera also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Palmer was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in 13 consecutive contests.

Palmer's record is now 15-6. As for Mesa Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Palmer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Widefield on the 23rd. As for Mesa Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Harrison on the 23rd.
