Softball Recap: Conrad Comes Up Short

Conrad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Huntley Project Red Devils. Even if the Cowboys couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Neveah Hepp and Evagelene Denzer stepped up to the plate in a big way. Hepp went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Denzer went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Sierra Dockter, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Conrad's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Huntley Project, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-4.

Coming up, Conrad will take on Shelby at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Huntley Project, they will head out to take on Non Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
