Volleyball Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Perry can now relate to. They fell just short of the Highland Hawks by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Pumas' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Perry actually scored more points across those five sets (109-105), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 24-26, 15-25, 16-14.

Camryn Thruston was nothing short of spectacular for Highland: she had 21 digs and three assists.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 25-18. As for Highland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-9 record this season.

Perry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Highland, they will head out to face off against Corona del Sol at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
