Basketball Game Preview: Terrell County Greenwave vs. Early County Bobcats

The Terrell County Greenwave will head out on the road to square off against the Early County Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Terrell County is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to Mitchell County.

Despite their defeat, Terrell County saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Cordarius Perry, who posted 25 points, was perhaps the best of all. That was a full 43.1% of Terrell County's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jaylin Perry, who had 18 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Early County). They blew past Miller County, posting a 74-47 victory. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 26 points or more this season.

Terrell County better focus on containing Nathaniel Tinson and Jabril Lindsey as the pair were huge in Early County's win. Tinson went 9 of 15 on his way to 20 points and four steals, while Lindsey almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. The contest was Tinson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dekaevon Lindsey, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Early County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Terrell County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Terrell County was dealt a bruising 77-44 defeat at the hands of Early County when the teams last played back in February. Can Terrell County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
