Basketball Recap: Spooner Drops Highest Score of Season Against Ashland

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spooner). They blew past the Ashland Oredockers 48-28 on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rails as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Spooner's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Ashland, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Spooner will face off against St. Croix Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Spooner has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Ashland, they will welcome Barron at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
