Volleyball Recap: Chugiak Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Dimond

Chugiak faced Dimond in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Lynx. The Mustangs have struggled against the Lynx recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Elise Kelley paced Chugiak's offense, picking up seven kills. Kelley got some help from Oliviya Rodriguez and her 20 assists.

Chugiak's loss dropped their record down to 26-12-1. As for Dimond, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 26-9-1.

Chugiak didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Colony on the 25th. As for Dimond, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against South Anchorage on the 25th.
