Softball Recap: Iowa City Takes a Loss

Iowa City suffered their closest loss since July 11, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Dubuque Senior Rams by a score of 3-1. The Little Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

Iowa City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Dubuque Senior, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Iowa City will challenge Linn-Mar at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed one run per game this season, so the Little Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Dubuque Senior, they will face off against Cedar Falls at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 3.8, the Tigers 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
