Softball Game Preview: MAST Community Charter Panthers vs. Faith Christian Academy Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought as MAST Community Charter Panthers challenge Faith Christian Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. MAST Community Charter is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

MAST Community Charter proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 11) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Chichester 5-4. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Rylie Fitzsimmons spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Jordan Jennings was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Faith Christian Academy and Renaissance Academy, and Faith Christian Academy kept the tradition alive. The Lions put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 15-1 victory two weeks ago.

MAST Community Charter's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Faith Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

MAST Community Charter took their win against Faith Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 18-4 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
