Basketball Recap: Devon Prep Piles Up the Points Against Bishop Shanahan

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Frances Academy, Devon Prep was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They claimed a resounding 84-53 win over the Bishop Shanahan Eagles. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-31.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Devon Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reece Craft, who went 8 of 14 en route to 18 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. The dominant performance also gave Craft a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Zane Conlon, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.

Devon Prep now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bishop Shanahan, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Devon Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 82-71 victory against Holy Cross on the 14th. As for Bishop Shanahan, they will venture away from home to face off against Avon Grove at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
