Soccer Game Preview: Trimble Tech vs. North Side

The Trimble Tech Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the North Side Steers at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. North Side took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Trimble Tech, who comes in off a win.

Trimble Tech will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Friday, then bounced right back against Wyatt on Tuesday. The Bulldogs blew past the Chaparrals 7-1. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Trimble Tech's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, North Side and South Hills faced off in a cross-town battle on Tuesday. The Steers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scorpions. The loss continues a trend for North Side in their meetings with South Hills: they've now lost five in a row.

Trimble Tech is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for North Side, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11-1.

Trimble Tech got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in January against North Side by a conclusive 5-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
