Basketball Game Preview: Dodge County Indians vs. Northeast Raiders

The Dodge County Indians will square off against the Northeast Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Dodge County is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Washington County on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Dodge County came up short against Washington County, falling 66-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Indians have suffered against the Golden Hawks since February 17, 2021.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Northeast had no problem doing just that on Monday. They blew past the Patriots 55-34. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Northeast has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points over those games. As for Dodge County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.

Dodge County was able to grind out a solid victory over Northeast in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 65-57. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Northeast's Alayla Hooks, who went 9 for 21 en route to 22 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.
