Softball Recap: Crosbyton Wins Going Away Against Lubbock T

The Crosbyton Chiefs made easy work of the Lubbock T Titans on Tuesday and carried off a 21-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Lilly Rodriguez made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single hit while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Crosbyton got a massive performance out of Araceli Rodriguez, who scored three runs and stole six bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Rodriguez has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Abigail Rodriguez, who scored three runs and stole six bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Crosbyton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .897. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
