Basketball Recap: American Sign Language & English Extends Winning Streak to Five

American Sign Language & English entered their tilt with City College Academy of the Arts on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 51-42 victory over City College Academy of the Arts. Given American Sign Language & English's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while City College Academy of the Arts is ranked 716th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

American Sign Language & English's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for City College Academy of the Arts, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American Sign Language & English will host Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for City College Academy of the Arts, they will be playing at home against Inwood Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
